 | The 2009 Calendar of Events ( download
here ). The calendar this year is colour coded for your convenience with
the Wide Bay major events in royal blue, Golf Queensland in maroon
etc. |
| 32nd Wide Bay Burnett District Closed Amateur Championships will be
held at Maryborough and Hervey Bay Golf Clubs from the 16th - 18th August
2009. ( nomination
forms ) For all those who are attending the event there will be a
Gourmet BBQ and sweets for $20.00 per head following the AGM which is being
held at Maryborough on Sunday 16th at 4:30pm. All are invited to
attend. |
| The Foursomes winners and runners-up will be presented with their trophies
at the AGM. The A & C Grade Championship presentation will be held at
Maryborough and the B Grade Championship presentation will be at Hervey Bay
at the completion of play on Tuesday 18th August. |
| Wide Bay Open & Closed Junior Girls Championship was held
at Headland Golf Club on Sunday 3rd May. The Junior championships were an
outstanding success on the weekend with Justine Lee who holds the No.1
ranking in Australia winning the Open Event with a great 71. Tiffany Claire
Lewis from Gympie Pines who was only 2 over for the first nine come home
strongly to win the Closed event with a very fine 80. The weather was a
little cool and breezy throughout and the course was in excellent condition.
The twenty-five players who competed thank Katherine Hull ALPG for her
continued support of this event. Congratulations to the winners and thank

| Have you considered playing in the Inter-district (Meg Nunn Salver) Match
Play event that will be held at Caboolture from the 7th to the 11th
September this year. We are calling for interested players to nominate so
that we can get a squad together and this will give the selectors the choice
of the best match players from our District. Please nominate even if you
have never represented your District before. Nomination form is available ( download
here ) and nominations have been extended. |
